Hi, I'm Steve Wendt and I grew up on this farm. My folks, Reuben and Dorothy Wendt, farmed here and raised a family (6 kids in all). The farm is on a beautiful spot in southeastern Minnesota, near scenic Lanesboro. I've always loved this place and have inherited the farmhouse and some property. I've been doing a lot of work fixing it up and creating a hobby farm. I planted grapes and raspberries 3 years ago, built the Farmer's Market barn and now had a pond made where two creeks meet.
There is a lot of tourism in this area, so my plan is to make juice & jams from my grapes and raspberries and sell them at the Farmer's Market barn along with other Minnesota-grown and made items. I've named my vineyard after my Grandma Martha. She has been a big influence in my life. She and Grandpa Fred are pictured on the right.
I am a Barber by trade and may still cut hair a bit in my antique barber's chair, which is in the barn.

These are my parents, Reuben and Dorothy. Reuben passed away 6 years ago and his strong presence is truly missed. Sweet Dorothy joined him this year. We will all miss her visits to the farm. Her beloved kitty cats will miss her too!
